Before you commit to a survival world, spend some time with Verity in creative mode. This sounds obvious, but most people skip it and learn the hard way.

Creative mode lets you:

This is the mechanic that catches most players off guard. Verity kills animals. Not occasionally, not by accident - systematically.

• Newborn animals die immediately after spawning
• Existing farm animals and villagers have a 50% chance of dying
• During the countdown’s midpoint, Verity clears all nearby creatures in one sweep
